Our Ash Grove Values
Both adults and staff share these values:
Empowerment - so that they can have a voice and have a say in decision making
Respect - so that our community respects and tolerates everyone, no matter what. We use kind words and ask polite questions if we are unsure. We respect everyone’s right to get on with their job or to get on with their learning. We stop and listen to each other. We will challenge others who do not show respect.
Honesty- when things go wrong, we prefer people to say so. When people are not feeling happy, then we prefer them to say so.
Acceptance - we are a tight knit community at school and within South Elmsall. We accept people for who they are. We welcome new children, staff and families no matter what.
Responsibility - as individuals, it is our responsibility to be a learner and to be a great role model for our school and community.
Mutual accountability - we work together to make sure that our school is a productive one for learning and doing well; we also have to work together to make sure that everyone is happy and safe.
